AKAGERA 1 DAY Trip.

With 3 nice couples, We left Kigali at 5:30am, drove for almost 3 hrs to the one and only Safari Park in Rwanda, Akagera National Park.
We reached the park at 8am, relaxed and started our full day game viewing.

At the end of our wonderful drive and game viewing, everyone was satisfied as we saw four of the big five, Giraffe, Hippo, zebras, and many many,. We reached the north exit at 3 pm, and drove to Jambo Beach for a farewell meal before driving back to Kigali to call it a Rwandaful Day.

Did you know that wildlife populations in Akagera National Park have increased by almost 50%?

When African Parks was invited by the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) to help professionalise park management in 2010, there was a clear joint vision: to transform Akagera from a landscape overrun by more than 30,000 cattle into an income-generating park for the benefit of people and wildlife. Effective law enforcement and strong community engagement from the start was the foundation for rehabilitation. After practically eliminating poaching in just five years, lions were reintroduced in 2015, followed by black rhinos in 2017 and white rhinos in 2021. Besides being a haven for wildlife, the park continues to provide for the 300,000 people living around its boundaries by supporting income-generating enterprises including beekeeping, fisheries and plant nurseries.

THE STORY OF MY NEW NAME: Panther TRAVEL

"The Panther" is the name I gave recently to my Safari Car, I was on a trip with a nice couple from overseas, and they asked me, If I had to name my cruiser, which name could I give to it, and I knew that it a beast in the beast, without hesitating, I said : "Panther"and the wise man replied, :' Green Panther'. and I said, yes, Green Panther because my Safari criser is panted Geen.
Later on, I thought about it and decided to call the car I will be traveling in, The Panther , and the name will be changing according to color of the car. Means that It could be a Green Panther, a Black Panther, White Panther, even might be a red Panther, .... interesting, isn't it?
