Repost from @akagerapark UPDATE: The white rhinos translocated to Akagera in November have been released into a larger enclosure seven weeks after their introduction to the park. In the larger enclosure, the rhinos will feed themselves, find water on their own, and be able to interact with other species while still being under close monitoring. The rhinos are adapting well to the park and the dedicated rhino monitoring team is supervising them on daily basis. The time the rhinos will spend in the larger enclosures will depend on how they further adapt to the new environment, their health and condition during the coming weeks, and behavior. Once the monitoring team is happy with their progress to the next stage, they will be fully released into Akagera. #WhiteRhino #Akagera #Rwanda #AfricanParks #Conservation
