Mountain gorillas are fascinating creatures, and there are several interesting facts about them:

1. Endangered Species: Mountain gorillas are classified as endangered, with only a small population remaining in the wild. Conservation efforts, including habitat protection and anti-poaching measures, are crucial for their survival.
2. Unique Habitat: They inhabit the montane and bamboo forests of the Virunga Massif in Central Africa, which includes Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda.
3. Social Structure: Gorillas live in stable family groups led by a dominant silverback male. These groups typically consist of females, their offspring, and occasionally subordinate males. The silverback is responsible for protecting the group and making decisions.
4. Vegetarian Diet: Gorillas are herbivores, primarily consuming a diet of leaves, stems, and shoots. Despite their size and strength, they are generally gentle and non-aggressive animals.

DAY TRIP ITINERARY
