Experience the beauty of the Akagera National park in Rwanda on a hot air balloon flight. Take off at dawn and float in whichever direction the morning winds take you. Whale breaching, otherwise known as cresting, is when whales jump clear out of the water and make an enormous sound as their giant body and tail slaps the water on its way back down. It’s a marvellous sight to see something so beautiful and majestic, in all its glory. It’s a sight you won’t forget any time soon. It may even take your breath away!
Humpback whales are one of the most acrobatic whales. They can reveal three quarters of their length or more when emerging from the water. S***m and right whales are also known for being good jumpers.Whales tend to breach on slightly windy to very windy days when the water is choppy. They will breach day or night.

GOMBE Stream National park
Gombe is the smallest of Tanzania’s national parks: a fragile strip of chimpanzee habitat straddling the steep slopes and river valleys that hem in the sandy northern shore of Lake Tanganyika. Gombe Stream’s high levels of diversity make it an increasingly popular tourist destination. Besides chimpanzees, primates inhabiting Gombe Stream include beachcomber olive baboons, red colobus, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, and vervet monkeys. Red-tailed monkeys and blue monkeys have also been known to hybridize in the area.
The park is also home to over 200 bird species and bush pigs. There are also 11 species of snakes, and occasional hippopotamus and leopards. Visitors to the park can trek into the forest to view the chimpanzees, as well as swim and snorkel in Lake Tanganyika with almost 100 kinds of colorful cichlid fish.

A total of 24 baby gorillas will be given names on the 17th Sept Kwita Izina ceremony. The gorillas, are part of a 328 population that have been named in the annual ceremony since 2005. Overall, Rwanda monitors 370 mountain gorillas, whose birth rate stands at 3.5 percent, according to the latest census.
