Last Saturday, the Kingfisher Journeys team and friends of the environment joined the community around Mukungwa River in Musanze in the monthly cleaning Umuganda. Using the canoes they helped clean the river of litter, cut out the fallen out bamboo and planted more bamboo to hold the river banks and prevent erosion.
