There are two passes known as Talgar in the Ile Alatau Mountains near Almaty.

The Big Talgar Pass, situated at an elevation of 3167 meters (10390 ft), is the more renowned of the two.

So carry coffee , water sandwiches , beer and all what u can. Restrooms at all stations. Carry toilet paper. Umbrella , winter caps and foldable tent ⛺ 🎪

Alternatively restaurants at STATION -2 offer expensive options. 1700!tenge for coffee at PAUL.

Shymbulak is the name of the most prominent yet famous ski resort in Kazakhstan. Built back in 1954 it was a training base for Soviet skiers. It is worth mentioning that in those days cable and gondola roads had not yet been built, so the athletes had to climb up the mountain all the way on foot, which took about three hours. After some time cableways, hotels, a Finnish bath, restaurants were constructed and since 1983 Shymbulak became the Soviet Olympic base for professional sportsmen.
The distinctive feature of the resort is the restriction for transport. You can not get to Shymbulak by car unless you have an electric car. The high-mountain skating rink Medeo has a barrier and a police car on duty that will not let you drive to Shymbulak. This is done to preserve the fragile environment of the place.

A must visit. 1500 tenge per person. Among the best museums in almaty . Reason to choose only this museum
It has the musical instruments
It has the arts zone
It has the military zone

So in short 4 hours here are simply worth it.

we reached by 7 pm the food was over 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Restaurant to state a disclaimer PLEASE CALL BEFORE U ARRIVE.😅😅😅 Remember to call before u go on this number . The number on maps is incorrect. Hare Krishna. They were polite and ready to offer whatever they had.😊🙏
