🪼 Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 Young Pacific Leaders (YPL) Annual Conference! 🪼

Hosted in Koror, Palau over the dates of 9-12 June 2025 (not including necessary travel dates), the YPL 2025 Annual Conference will together emerging leaders from throughout the Pacific Islands, Australia, and New Zealand to foster connections, advance leadership skills, and provide space for collaboration in addressing salient topics and challenges related to all four YPL core pillars: Civic Engagement, Environment & Resource Management, Education, and Economic & Social Development. The program will consist of pre-conference virtual activities for preparation, the in-person Conference to be held in Koror, Palau, over the dates of June 9-12, 2025, and participation in YPL’s dedicated month to community service, YPL LEADS, in October 2025.

All interested and eligible emerging leaders, ages 25-40, from Australia, the Cook Islands, Fiji, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Islands of French Polynesia, Kiribati, the Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue, Norfolk Island, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Islands, Rapa Nui, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Taiwan, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna, and U.S. partners from the American-affiliated Pacific including American Samoa, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and Hawai’i, are invited to apply.

Attending the DCN Global launch in Nadi-Fiji for two days was an eye-opening and insightful experience, offering valuable knowledge on digital creation and the role of AI in the modern era. We learned a great deal and had the opportunity to share the unique challenges we face in our island context, discussing ways to tackle these challenges as Pacific Islanders. It was an excellent platform for building unified digital voices and fostering collaboration.
Pacific islands is still way back in the digital technology era!
