During our excursion yesterday we had the extraordinary chance to swim with 10 mobula rays that circled us for about ten minutes, a rare and extraordinary moment that my clients and I will not forget.
But in order to see this, we went out of the usual snorkeling areas. We saw them on the Anse Royal reef but very far from the beach and we stayed 1 hour in total in the water to have the immense chance of meeting them.
During this same excursion, we went to the reef next to Ste Anne Island which is very beautiful with many species of fish but there were a lot of people there because it is a famous site, so we continued to follow the reef very far on the right where no one goes and there we saw 2 hawksbill turtles and one green turtle, after about 45 minutes of snorkeling.
When I am on an excursion with people who are comfortable in the water and who are not afraid to stay 45 minutes to 1 hour in the water, I like to explore new areas and this often results in magical encounters.
Unfortunately my GoPro broke recently and I have no memory of these wonderful encounters but they will remain forever etched in my memory because I don't think I will see this again anytime soon. These mobula rays are not used to seeing humans snorkeling in this area and I think that's why they circled us for 10 minutes, they were really curious and didn't leave.
Do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to do a private or semi-private excursion off the beaten track, unfortunately we do not offer group excursions so you should know that our prices are in line with a private, tailor-made service.
