The Labriz Moutya Experience
Last Friday our team had the chance to experience the Hilton's traditional Moutya dance just after sunset!
A popular event on the island which begins with a lighting ceremony, whereby exotically dressed team members joins with a local dance group to create this special dusk ambience.
The group sings of old folks' tales of the islands while dancing around the fire to the rhythmic beating of the Moutya drum.
A chance well appreciated by the guests to experience an authentic slice of our rich creole culture.

Bird-eating fish takes to the air
The sea off the Republic of Seychelles is calm.
Suddenly a fish leaps out of the sea to feed on the buyout gull.
Initially, the story of a fish eating a bird came only from a fisherman's story.
In the absence of any photographic evidence,
the director of the crew thought this was a worthwhile risk for a 30-year career.
So the crew of four took 800 kg of filming equipment, which includes an anti-shake camera,
came to a remote atoll in the Republic of Seychelles where it was shot.
It took several weeks to finally capture the rare fish shot .
