London is still stunning even on a rainy day 🌦🌤⛈️

One of our customers from America bought an open top bus tour ticket for 48hrs on the rainy day. I just said enjoy the rain as a joke but they reply made me smile. This is England why should we be concerned about the rain? This is normal and they laughed.

Then my mind came up with my favourite song 🎵🎶 "I'M SINGING IN THE RAIN, JUST SINGING IN THE RAIN" 🎵🎶💃💃

So yes, if you come to England and you do not see rain maybe, you are not in England yet.🤣🤣

London

We were looking for a nice cafe for breakfast near Covent Garden. Nice for me means good atmosphere and of course good food too, because we invited a special guest to join us.

I Googled many restaurants and in the end we chose Black Penny. We decided from menu, decor and then the reviews.

Thank god that food was very tasty. My guest enjoyed it very much too. The portion was the right size for me though the coffee was quite small. So ordered extra coffees each. The price was reasonable for the quality and service provided.

I recommend you should reserve a table beforehand, as we have seen people queue up even though it was already 10am.

After breakfast you can walk around Covent Garden as there are a lots things to see, do, shopping and eat (again!)

The Tradition of Fish and Chips

The tradition of eating fish and chips was on a Friday which may have derived from the Roman Catholic belief that meat should not be eaten on Fridays except fish. Fish and Chip Friday is still a part of British life today even though times have changed.

Nowadays, you can have fish and chips whenever you want and its still very famous for visitors who come to England. You have to try fish and chips especially from English pubs and with a local beer... Ummmm yummy!

Breaking News
The French SNCF train network has been hit by acts of vandalism.

Eurostar services in France to and from Paris are being diverted and several trains have been delayed, the rail firm says in a statement.

The high speed line between Paris and Lille has been affected and journey times have increased by 90 minutes following "co-ordinated acts of malice in France", the firm says.

Trains between Paris and London are still running on "classic" (standard) lines but passengers can expect journey times to be an hour longer.

Be aware that the very old paper notes are no longer in use. If you still have those, you can exchange them at the post office or the Bank of England.

The Pride in London Parade takes place on Saturday, 29 June 2024.
Please be aware that due to the large number of attendees, we anticipate potential disruptions in cellphone reception during the event. If you are traveling with a group, it is highly recommended to plan and coordinate in advance to ensure smooth communication.

The parade will see around 500 groups made up from LGBT+ Community Groups, LGBT+ businesses, and partners, forming together to make our total over 32,000 participants. As usual, the Mayor of London will be leading the parade!

This year, the Parade runs from Hyde Park Corner, through Piccadilly Circus, down Haymarket and along Cockspur Street to Trafalgar Square, culminating at Whitehall Place.

The 43rd London Marathon 2024

The London Marathon is one of the most prestigious events in world sport which returns this weekend.

The London Marathon first took place in 1981 and is one of the most popular marathons in the world. The route takes in many of London's best landmarks including Canary Wharf, The Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, a view of The London Eye and Buckingham Palace.

The capital will have over 50,000 runners of all abilities alongside many fans, families and friends along the route.
