This day marks a significant milestone as we celebrate the one year anniversary of TEDxAhfadUniversity 2022. It was a day when barriers were shattered, connections were forged, and a community was born.

TEDxAhfadUniversity was more than just an event; it became a part of our collective identity, a testament to the strength and resilience of our incredible nation. The theme we chose, "Defying Obstacles," resonated deeply with each one of us. At that time, we were standing face to face with challenges and obstacles that tested our determination at every turn. But we refused to let those obstacles define us. Instead, we embraced them as opportunities for growth, learning, and transformation.

Together, we poured our hearts and souls into organizing a truly remarkable event. We worked tirelessly, overcoming hurdles and pushing our limits to ensure that would be an unforgettable experience. And it was. The energy, the ideas, and the passion that filled the room that day were simply inspiring.💡
We witnessed the power of unity, creativity, and the unwavering spirit of our community.

Today, as our beloved Sudan faces the challenges of war, it is more important than ever to hold onto hope and resilience. Let us remember that even in the midst of turmoil, we are destined to rebuild our nation and create a brighter future✨🤍

Mohamed Magzoub, an architecture graduate, discovered his true passion towards tourism after working as a guide in Jebel Barkal, a holy mountain which is a tourist attraction in Kassala, Sudan, which led him to a major career shift. At the time, he knew there was a gap in the tourism sector in Sudan and the urgent need to visit tourist areas and raise awareness about the beauty of Sudan.
Magzoub tells us the story of his journey from architecture to tourism. He is working on the renaissance of tourism and raising the value of Sudan to the Sudanese.

Lamar is a 16-year-old young, empowered, Sudanese girl. The beginning of her story was a desire that was interrupted by intellectual differences that were sufficient to make her follow the usual pace and make her passion and goals disappear as if she was just a childhood dream.
But she made these and other difficulties as if they were a station to gather strength for her, then the idea became an approach by which she seeks to elevate herself and help others in realizing and developing themselves.
