OI2024 Update Two
After two days (and interactions with hundreds of people), it is safe to say that our products are some of the exhibition’s favorites. My colleagues and I have been partaking in conversations nonstop the entire time that we have been here. Obviously, this is very satisfying, but one thing is sure though; we are happy that we brought a large number of energy drinks, because we certainly stay busy here.
An interesting observation: even though we brought our spectacular Thunderwasp Gas Turbine over here, plenty of attention was paid to our V8 M500 ROVs, which naturally makes sense - it is an underwater exhibition after all.

The first day at the Oceanology 2024 exhibition has been amazing; nice people and friendly faces everywhere! The amount of interest shown in our Thunder Wasp GT and V8 M500 ROVs has been nothing but extraordinary.

Last week, we had Robert Nygård and Teemu Tuhkanen, ROV operators and technicians at the Finnish Border Guard, over here at Ocean Modules, attending tether termination training. After a few days of practice as well as trial and error, we could proudly hand over diplomas to show their acquired skills.
The Finnish Border Guard has been using Ocean Modules' ROVs for many years now, beginning with V8 Sii and V4 ROVs, which eventually were traded in for / upgraded to V8 M500 ROVs.

Contrary to recent news reports, the Supreme Administrative Court in Stockholm has in its finding of the 21st of October determined that there exists no reason to grant leave to appeal the decision of the Administrative Court of Appeal in Jönköping. Ocean Modules and the Swedish Coast Guard have complied with all rules and regulations of the Swedish Public Procurement Act, and may immediately enter into contract in accordance with the results of the procurement process.
Claes Drougge, CEO of Ocean Modules Sweden AB, commented "It is a shame that the Coast Guard has lost so much valuable time and that our taxpayers' funds have been wasted over contrived minutiae, but we are relieved that the process is finally over and that common sense has prevailed."
