Susanne an I would like to express our gratitude to everyone visiting us virtually or in real life, you mean a lot to us. Renting out your house through Airbnb is not only a way to earn some extra money, it's also great fun meeting people. So thank you!

We had a great winter with nice visitors from all over Sweden and quite a few families also from abroad. Most guests go here for the skiing at Romme Alpin, which is 15 mins away from the house. But what many of them are surprised to also find is the beauty of the surroundings, the mountains and the snow and just how quiet it is.

Next up is summer. Dalecarlia is one of the top ranking summer destinations of Sweden. It has a lot to offer in terms of discovering nature, go swimming in lakes, fishing, art- and cultural events, places of certain interest and much more. Our house is pretty much in the middle of Dalecarlia so you can do daytrips to wherever you want to go. If you have questions or look for inspiration or advice, please send us a private message.

On this snowy winters day we have made June, July and August available for booking via Airbnb, (link in description). I think it’s a great day for planning summer holidays! 😬

Today in Romme: heavy snowfall and we’re expecting around 20-30 cm over night. Not too cold though, around -2 degrees celsius. Nice actually! ✌🏻

Extraordinary beautiful winter in Romme this year. Snow is around 60 cm deep, temperature today circa -5 C. Perfect conditions for outdoors activities. If we are lucky it’s going to stay this way for some time, but you never know. Last week we had -20 C for a couple of days. Good thing to have the possibility of huddling up in front of the wood stove. 🤗

Bookings are filling up, so make your reservation. Right now we are happy to host a Dutch family of five.

Hard to believe but it's only three months until Christmas! It's still a mix between summer and autumn here in Romme. Lots of beautiful flowers still bloom in the garden. But in a month or so it's going to start snowing, so winter is on it's way.

If you plan to have a winter holiday in this part of the world I want to remind you to go to AirBnb and make your reservation for our guesthouse Romme House.

If you fancy skiing you should also get your SkiPasses in advance at Romme Alpin. It's only 15 mins by car from us to Romme Alpin. And it's cosy, quiet and clean! 🙂

And here is the weather report for Romme, Sweden:
Had a couple of weeks of heavy rain here, there and everywhere. We were not flooded by the storm, but it has been really wet for a while. On the other hand it was sunny, dry and around 30°C for the whole of June. So pretty diverse weather this summer.
We also had the pleasure of having nice visitors from France, Germany and Sweden! All has been great! See you! ☺️

Speaking of warm we have beautiful sunny sommer weather right now with temperatures around 26° - 29°C. There are a lot of options to cool off, one of the nicest is to go swimming in a lake. The one closest to the house is 10 mins away with a bicycle and is called Långsjön. The place to be days like these! :-)
If you enjoy fishing and wildlife there are plenty of alternatives for that too.

This is the view at 08:00 today ca 500 meters from the house. Still not full daylight. Temperature ca -1°C, ca 20 cm of snow. Fresh air, all quiet. I love it here! :-)
