The doors is locked to the museum. Next week it will return to the 21st century, because, Steampunk has left the building. (…for this year…)
SilwerSteam was a bit smaller than the previous years, but we all had a blast.
This was indeed Steampunk with a silver lining.
A huge hug to all steampunk enthusiasts, craftsmen and artists who made this year memorable. A huge hug to friends at SilwerSteam, old and new, as well as those we missed this year. Love to you all.
And an honorable hug to all the volunteers who made this happen! You are indeed the worlds top SilwerSteam Monkey Crew!!
Thanks to the Museum and all personal! You rock!

SilwerSteam VI – Nordic Steampunk Faire 2024 Opens its doors – Friday from 17:00 (open for craftsmen from 11:00)

Break-in at the Museum – 18:30 The introduction to SilwerSteams text based mystery from last year… – Reception.

Dance Workshop – 19:00 – 19:45 Join in for a beginner’s workshop of historical dances with Camilla and the Theatrical Society Sigurd – Museum Courtyard, outside.

SilwerSteam Contests – The Tutorial – 20:00 – 22:00 Join us for the start of the Team Contest. We will go through the ropes of Timeline, Teapot racing, Last one standing, and Tea Duelleing as well as how you score points and enjoy the first matches. Start at – Reception

Panel discussion – A discussion on the inspirations of Steampunk creativity from different points of view on Saturday evening.
With Henrik Pilerud of Pilerud's cosplay, silver medalist at the Cosplay World Championship in Japan 2024, and creator of inspirational costumes extraordinaire!
Then we will meet Inger Helldal and Krister Ågren, who will bring a point of view as recent beginners in the Steampunk community, but as Team Smokescreen, impressive winners of the SilwerSteam 2023 Team Contest.
Finally, we will meet Ulf Svensson, Sibbarparn, electricity artist and creator of magnificent Steampunky creations from yesterday's discarded brass.
The Paneldiscussion will be held Saturday 19:15 – 20:00 - in the Reception(2), 1st floor, or if to crowded, in the Steamengine Hall.

Let us introduce some of the activities going on at SilwerSteam.
First out is "Last one standing – SilwerSteam´s duelling ground". As the old saying goes “There can be only one!” (-Connor MacLeod). Here you issue your challenges, choose your weapon, and suffer the darts or arrows from devious opponents before opposing and defeating them in style! Weapons available will be bows and arrows, and guns (of some sort). They will (of course) be entirely safe (it would sort of be counterproductive to our goal of socializing if they weren't) and otherwise known as Bows with foam-tipped arrows and Steampunky Nerf guns. As in the teapot racing, bring your own, or borrow ours. Cry Havoc and let slip the… well… whatever you think is most Steampunk...
The Nerf-pistol duels are also an individual competition with finals on Sunday.
