A lot of time is spent on track preparation when you live and work like I do.
Here in the area, there is very little other traffic and many of the tracks are not used by anyone else.
Good tools to do the job make it much easier, and when I bought a new snowmobile almost two years ago, the job was immediately much easier.
However, I am glad that I have struggled before with older scooters. You learn a lot from it and above all you learn to appreciate what you are upgrading to.

Premiere on a sled for this season and the first time for Christian on a sled.
Christian, who helps me, has been here for about 6 weeks and the contact and trust between him and the dogs is getting better and stronger every week.

Är på gång att köpa en Snowmover sladd 150 cm arbetsbredd med kladdplattor. Jag funderar på om det är värt att ta dubbelskida? För länge sedan så sladdade jag lite med en snowmover med rulle och den hade enkelskida. Någon som har erfarenhet av dubbelskida?

Bygger och renoverar i kenneln. Är tvungen att använda en manuell fjärrkontroll (ett snöre till spaken) till hydraliken på traktorn för att ha kontroll vid lyften av hundhuset.

This summer I have mostly fed food from Priima, simple and appreciated by the dogs. I let the sausages thaw a bit so they are not super hard and cut them into suitable sizes for the dogs. The amount of food each dog needs can vary greatly between individuals.
Denna sommar har jag mest matat med mat från Priima, enkelt och uppskattat av hundarna. Jag låter korvarna tina lite grann så dom inte är superhårda och hugger dom i lämpliga storlekar för hundarna. Mängden mat som varje hund behöver kan skilja mycket mellan varje individ.

The summer has started as usual and my routines are probably different to most people who don't have sled dogs.
I try to take advantage of the coldest period of the day to be active with the dogs.
I am very happy and grateful that I have the opportunity to start out with eager dogs directly from the kennel in the middle of the night without disturbing anyone.

Thunder. he is one of 6 dogs that moved here a little more than a year ago. You don't think about how much they have grown and become one of the team since they first came here 14 months ago. You notice it so clearly now that some new dogs have arrived. Trust takes time, for some shorter and for some longer.

Used the last snow to go and secure the bridge after the trail over the Kiersajaure stream, hopefully it won't be able to move too much if the water rises. Two days ago the water was 10 cm below, after two colder days it had subsided so today it was about 40 cm below.

the snow is melting and the streams are full of water. I'll have to get back here again later and secure the bridge with rope so it won't move if the water continues to rise.

These must be divine dogs because Milkyway claims she's still a virgin.
Personally, I saw her courtship with Knäcken but thought that probably nothing will happen. Milkyway herself her period was over for a month ago, but all of a sudden she got hungry in connection then several other bi***es had ther period. She climbed out when a lot of boys was out and had a quickie.
The positive thing is that I had a plan to breed Orio, Milkyway's brother with Kråkan, Knäcken's sister. So it turned out to be correct, but quite the opposite and it was not really me who decided the time.

My favorite axe has received some service. A fantastic little hand-forged axe that I bought in 1995. The axe has been used daily on tours throughout the years. Wondering how much snacks, dog food and firewood I have split with this one. It has also left a memory in the form of a scar on my left knee.

The singel puppy "Nilo" is already five and a half week.
Leia's valp är redan 29 dagar gammal. De senaste dagarna har han visat intresse för Leia's mat. Valpfodret är uppblött men om han får chansen äter han hellre från Leia's torra kulor. Och Leia vill givetvis hellre ha valpens mat. 🙃😅

A little difficult to film when self drive a dogteam on the trollcart and guiding on a self drive cart tour, but it goes with a little practice.
