Obsessed is a strong word, but we're not sure of a more fitting one to use when describing the sunset view from our new deck.

We built this deck to connect the cabin to the sauna.

When we started Hop Farm Beach, we envisioned one cabin to start and eventually more. The "eventually more" is coming together, but we're finding our one black beauty already has a life of its own.

This week alone, a 70-year-old birthday celebration fills the cabin with family and laughter. Meanwhile, FujiFilm is using it as home base while creating a marketing film for a new camera - storytelling that showcases our beloved Destination Hälsingland. Adding to the activity, Wahlman Weddings will visit our property to plan the June 3rd wedding workshop. We can host weddings and elopements here, but if you can't see what's possible, why would you consider it? The workshop will demonstrate the potential of our beautiful area.

Moving forward has a rhythm. It doesn't take much to make exciting things happen with things you care about. Just listen for the beat and follow where it leads.

We have a gorgeous cabin. Now we're watching life unfold around it.

6:30AM: Anna dodging construction at Slussen, jackhammers matching her heartbeat, phone vibrating with 16 Slack messages before coffee.

5:30PM: Stepping off the train in Söderhamn to hug Emma - her old roommate from Ålidhem in Umeå. No dance floor at Rex tonight. Just prosecco, sauna steam, and actual conversation.

7:00PM: While the sauna heats, they sit on the deck cutting strawberries, laughing about university days - young, dumb, wonderful decisions they wouldn't change for anything.

Ten years apart disappear in ten minutes of catching up.

A woodpecker drums against a distant tree, briefly reminding Anna of Slussen. Then she forgets it completely, lost in a moment that has nothing to do with the city.

She's right where she needs to be.

Our surprising discovery: friends who haven't properly talked since screaming "SWEET CAROLINE" at wedding receptions are booking the cabin together.

Turns out, you remember why you liked each other when phones are off and no DJ is competing for attention.

(Though we won't judge if you still belt out tunes to the trees. Just don't expect them to join in on the "SO GOOD! SO GOOD! SO GOOD!" part.)

This morning we woke to news that feels surreal - guests from Australia have booked the cabin for a few nights this summer. The same forests that have watched over local families for generations will soon offer shade to visitors from the opposite side of the world.

Summer in Hälsingland brings its own magic: midnight swims in barely-setting sun, forest floors carpeted with berries, and the kind of silence that makes you hold perfectly still so as not to disturb it.

Our calendar shows others have discovered this too. June, July, August - dates are vanishing with each passing day. Check your calendar, then check ours. The moments that matter most can't be rescheduled.

For our first summer at Hop Farm Beach, we hoped people would come. We never imagined from how far.

These first few months of Hop Farm Beach have filled us with gratitude. We wake up to booking notifications from places we never imagined - Germany this morning, but also Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, Netherlands, Switzerland, and the USA. Not to mention our Swedish friends who've embraced our forest cabin where phones go to sleep.

Summer is filling quickly, especially June through August. If you're thinking about disconnecting phones and reconnecting with what matters, now's the time to reserve your dates.

Thank you for believing in a simple idea: that we all need moments without screens, surrounded by forest and silence.

The sauna's warm. The coffee's waiting. The forest doesn't mind if you stare at it for hours.
