Golfamore Awards is back! A new year means new winners, and it’s finally time to reveal which golf clubs impressed the most in 2024. We know the excitement has been high, and now we are proud to present the best of the best! With an impressive total of 150 000 reviews from Golfamore users, we’ve compiled this year’s top ratings and crowned the golf courses and clubs that stand out across various award categories.

What are Golfamore Awards? Every year, hundreds of thousands of rounds of golf are played at over 1 400 affiliated Golfamore courses in Europe using the Golfamore card. After each round, players receive a survey where they rate both the hospitality and facilities of the golf clubs. The golf clubs with the highest average ratings are presented in our channels and receive prizes for their placements in one or multiple prize categories.

Verdura Golf Resort is a luxurious resort nestled by the Mediterranean along the Sicilian coast, located just south of Palermo. Here, an extraordinary golf experience awaits! The resort features two 18-hole championship links-style courses, Verdura Links and Verdura Shore.🇮🇹

Verdura Links is considered one of the best golf courses in Italy and underwent a redesign in 2021. Each hole presents a unique test of technical and strategic skill, where achieving a good score requires mastering the large, fast greens and the skillfully placed bunkers that add to the challenge.

Verdura Shore opened in 2010 but has also undergone a redesign. This course hasn’t received as much attention as the Links course but is just as challenging and stunning. The first nine holes are played closer to the clubhouse, while the final nine bring you closer to the coastline. The last six holes provide a dramatic finish as they run alongside the Mediterranean. On this course, too, the large greens and tricky bunkers pose the biggest challenges, but you’ll also need to consider the wind, particularly from the 13th hole onwards. This course should definitely be on your bucket list of must-visit golf courses!

Prague City Golf - Golfový Areál Vinoř 🇨🇿
The idea of creating a golf course in Prague Vinoř dates back to the beginning of the 21st century. The first construction work was only started in 2015, the area was opened for play in the spring of 2023. It is located at a height of 268 meters above sea level, in the warmer climate of Prague, and play is possible here even through the winter. It has an 18-hole course and a 6-hole course and extensive practice areas. The design was created by British architect Jonathan Gaunt. ⛳️

The top-notch 18-hole course is of the links type with strategically designed holes. It has a total of five types of tees (black, white, yellow, blue, red). It also includes unique waste areas, areas combining wild grass and sand. The public 6-hole course is full-fledged and is intended for the game of experienced golfers and beginners. The training facility offers a covered driving range, a large chipping area and two extensive putting greens. For the 2024 season, we are also preparing the possibility of accommodation in the clubhouse at Vinoř.

New course - Prague City Golf - Golfový Areál Zbraslav 🇨🇿

The design of the 18-hole course in Prague Zbraslav was inspired by Scottish links courses. British architect Jeremy Ford and German golf professional with Czech roots Alex Čejka were among the authors who participated in the design and construction of the course, their ideas were finally shaped by Scottish shaper Mick McShane. The pitch has a sporting character, but it is also intended for regular recreational play. The specialties include dramatically modeled greens, the so-called spill offs – artificially created embankments with free-growing grass, vast sandy wastes with red sand and classic links pot-shaped bunkers (the so-called pot). In 2023, the course was expanded with new holes and a new, modern clubhouse building, which is located at the end of the village of Lipence.

”Our founder and major benefactor, Sir Norman Henry Rae MP, expounded a very clear vision that the club and course should be used by ” people with limited means ”. Clearly the beginnings of the ”Artisan Golf Club” we enjoy today.

The wonderful course which we love and play week in week out has evolved from the original 9 hole course, dating from 1896. Sir Norman Rae was instrumental in the early years, through a series of acquisitions, leases and bequests, in extending the course initially to include land for an additional 9 holes ”˜over the ravine’, which in now our back 9. This part of the ”new” course was designed under the supervision of Harry Vardon and James Braid. These developments became playable at Easter in 1923.”

The 18 hole championship golf course in Hungary 🇭🇺 is 6351 m long (PAR 72) built surrounded natural reserves, vineyards and lakes, suitable to host all international tournaments both for professionals and amateurs. Which you now can play with Golfamore!

The design of the golf course allows all players from the beginner to the professional to enjoy the course, there are 4 different tees to choose from.

The course fits beautifully in the picturesque Zala Valley, around the course vineyards, rolling hills similar to the Tuscan countryside and lakes can be found. The whole 18 hole length of the course was completed in September 2015. The Zala Springs Golf Resort’s 3000 m2, two-story club house provides comfort for the visitors of the golf club.
