Data processing by Facebook
Please be aware that you use our page and its functions on your own responsibility. This applies in particular to the use of the interactive functions (e.g. commenting and sharing). When you visit our page, Facebook collects, among other things, your IP address and other information that is stored on your computer in the form of cookies. This information is used to provide us with statistical information about the use of the page. Facebook provides more detailed information on this under the following link: http://de-de.facebook.com/help/pages/insights. The data collected about you in this context is processed by Facebook and may be transferred to countries outside the European Union. Facebook describes in general terms what personal data is processed and how it is used in its data usage guidelines. There you will also find information on how to contact Facebook and on the settings for advertisements. The data usage guidelines are available at the following link: http://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy. Facebook's full data use policies can be found here: https://de-de.facebook.com/full_data_use_policy

In what manner Facebook uses the data from visits to pages for its own purposes, to what extent activities on the page are assigned to data subjects, how long Facebook stores this data and weather data from a visit to the page is disclosed to third parties, is not conclusively and clearly stated by Facebook and is not known to us. When you access a page, the IP address assigned to your terminal device is transferred to Facebook. According to Facebook, this IP address is anonymized. Facebook also stores information about the end devices of its users (e.g. as part of the "login notification" function); this may enable Facebook to assign IP addresses to data subjects. If you are currently logged in to Facebook as a user, a cookie with your Facebook ID is stored on your end device. This enables Facebook to track that you have visited this page and how you have used it. This also applies to all other pages. Facebook buttons embedded in websites enable Facebook to record your visits to these website pages and assign them to your Facebook profile. This data can be used to offer content or advertising tailored to you. If you wish to avoid this, you should log out of Facebook or deactivate the "stay logged in" function, delete the cookies stored on your device and close and restart your browser. This will delete Facebook information that can be used to directly identify you. This allows you to use our page without revealing your Facebook identifier. When you access interactive features of the page (Like, Comment, Share, Message, etc.), a Facebook login screen will appear. Once you have logged in, you will again be recognizable to Facebook as a specific user. Information on how to manage or delete information about you can be found on the following Facebook support pages: https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy #. Data Processing by Autoliv

In 1953, two brothers in a small Swedish town began a journey that would change the future of automotive safety. Concerned for his wife's safety during a road trip, Lennart Lindblad realized that the seatbelts available at the time weren't the quality he wanted. Determined to find a better solution, he produced one himself with the help of his brother Stig, who made a belt buckle to match.

What started as a simple solution to protect loved ones became the foundation of Autoliv, a company now dedicated to saving lives on roads around the world. From that first do-it-yourself seatbelt to the advanced technologies we develop today, our vision has always been the same: Saving More Lives.

At Autoliv, we’re committed to continuously advancing both safety and sustainability. With the innovations introduced in the Bernoulli™ Airbag, we foresee significant potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in its production process. The main advantages are the weight savings and the possibility to move faster to materials with a lower CO2e emission factor.

By incorporating more sustainable materials, such as PET for the cushion, we aim to lower the overall carbon footprint of the airbag. Our current estimates project a 20% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in the short term, with even greater savings in the long term by increasing material circularity.

This is a step to move mobility safety closer to a safer and more environmentally responsible future.

At Autoliv, we manufacture over 150 million seatbelts annually, and testing their retractors was once a manual challenge. With our AI-powered seatbelt retractor audio analysis, known as "The Sound of Safety," we've updated this process. Originating in our Tijuana facility, this global solution listens for sound patterns, automatically identifying noisy components. This innovation not only enhances efficiency but helps us maintain our commitment to high-quality safety solutions.

Planting good safety habits early is essential for the next generation of responsible road users. Recently, our Japan team hosted a safety awareness event at Tsukuba RC Park, engaging over 80 elementary school children and their families in learning key road safety behaviors. Through interactive activities with radio-controlled cars, participants explored traffic rules, airbag safety, and the critical role of seatbelts.

This initiative is part of our commitment to the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 3.6, which aims to halve global road traffic fatalities and injuries by 2030. By raising awareness from a young age, we're helping to build safer roads and save more lives.

Say hello to Autoliv's first participant in the Silicon Valley Rotational Partner Program, Hanna Karlsson! She has just joined the program pilot and will spend the next three months in the world's largest tech hub, exploring the latest innovations.

This initiative reflects our commitment to nurturing talent and fostering collaboration within the Combient Foundry network, a group of 38 leading Nordic companies accelerating digitalization through cross-industry cooperation, leveraging collective strengths, and exploring new technologies.

We wish her the best of luck on this exciting journey!

Autoliv had a great time at the IRCOBI conference in Stockholm last week, and we were proud to participate in these discussions. Our presentations and recognitions reflected our commitment to advanced safety solutions.

Martin Östling was awarded the Gundolf Beier Foundation Award for his work on crash characteristics and injury patterns in low-severity, high-exposure frontal crashes involving belted occupants. Another conference highlight was the Bertil Aldman Memorial Lecture, delivered by Ola Boström, former VP of Research at Autoliv. We are also proud to announce that Nils Lübbe has been elected Treasurer of IRCOBI.

We are grateful for the opportunity to lead and contribute to crucial research that shapes the future of safe mobility.

As part of our commitment to climate action, we've successfully phased out the use of sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), a greenhouse gas, in our steering wheel production. In 2023, SF6 accounted for 6% of emissions in our operations, making this a significant step forward in our decarbonization efforts and a key milestone towards achieving carbon neutrality in our operations by 2030.
