Crash test dummies might not get much attention, but they're the unsung heroes of road safety.
Our dummies measure impact forces, bending, and deceleration in real-time, providing critical insights that help us refine our safety solutions. This commitment to advanced testing ensures that every Autoliv product is built to perform when it matters most – in the real world. Because when it comes to safety, there's no room for compromise.
What innovations do you think are shaping the future of road safety? Let's start the conversation!

Autoliv's Seat Centric Restraint System (SCRS) recently excelled in car-to-car crash testing representative of future Euro NCAP requirements, setting a new benchmark in vehicle safety. The SCRS is designed to protect passengers in all directions by integrating airbags and belt systems directly into the seat, moving with the occupant for stable, consistent protection.
One of the unique benefits of SCRS is its ability to protect occupants in diverse interior and seating configurations, offering enhanced safety for all body types and ages, including elderly occupants. Tested in a medium-speed frontal impact, SCRS consistently showed lower injury rates, especially for chest protection, compared to traditional systems.
Not only is SCRS redefining passenger protection, but it also offers more design flexibility, giving vehicle manufacturers freedom in interior layouts without compromising safety. The SCRS is a truly omnidirectional concept, providing protection for all crash directions.
When looking at Autoliv today, it's easy to overlook the pioneering journey that has made automotive travel safer for everyone on the road.
