At the capercaillie lekk, you really have to be quiet and careful, these birds are very cautious and you are forbidden to disturb them. So you need to move like a ninja, plan every move, take your time, like a sloth. And I always have to tell and instruct my guests very thorough to make sure they do thinks in the sloth&ninja way. One of my guests Kalle, he loves capercaillie lekk and has come for many years. This particular morning he overslept a little bit...and this morning the male vanguarding our little hill of the lekk decided to display and parade perfectly in the spot, in the spot where you want him to be, on top of the hill, the backlight coming in!! So I texted Kalle, and texted, and finally I hear him waking up. He starts his sloth&ninja move towards his chair. And I drop my phone, on the platform, - thud! The male stops. I think, " Oh no, I ruined it" But the male continued to display, he was in the zone and he wanted the hens to come. So Kalle, he got this photo to start with...
