and our troubles have just begun. lesson learned. don’t overestimate yourself and underestimate the weather. plan your travel in advance with a lot of time to spare.
just imagine this. the gale sweeping up snow from the sides and turn the road from snow to ice. snowstorm pouring down like rain rendering the visibility to near zero. hail stones at the same times filling the icy road like ball bearings. snow/hailstones piling up on the road making it impassable soon. witnessed 4 cars slide off into the ditch. almost 50 cars behind me going at 30kph and sliding on ball bearings filled road. any slower and i’ll stuck in the snow. driving looking sideways using the barriers as markers.
we hardly breathe.
not just us, many people came out of the shops to get a sense of this. it was just so powerful.
and experience our first yellow gale storm. we read the weather report, it’s almost 60kph wind. and then there’s gust. the cans make for some really good cinematic effect.
someone asked, and yet you are still driving? answer is, when the storm hits you half way, you have no choice but to keep going.
