Third in doing homework

After conducting an OECD study, results show that 15-year olds spend 9.4 hours weekly, above the international average of 5 hours. Although this sounds insane especially in contrast to South Korea who spends fewer than 3 hours per week completing their homework and is still performing successfully on a global scale, Singaporean 15 year-olds still trail behind Shanghai who spends 13.8 hours a week on homework, and Russia taking 9.7 hours per week. The perks of living in a homestay

Be it coming from all over the world, whether China, Philippines, or even from countries such as Russia, homestays cater to all types of nationalities in providing an affordable place to stay and at the same time, enjoyable. This is an element that can be sacrificed when the value for money is low especially with homestays reaching the goal of being tagged as ’affordable’. One statement made by Ms. Gorden, director of Student Accommodation Services Australia says,”This one student we had stay with us was told by a previous family she had to pay $2 a roll if she wanted extra toilet paper.” But what exactly are specific reasons to stay in one? Inching closer to a smart nation

Singapore to accept more foreign students

“A much more attractive solution is to allow the universities to admit more full-fee paying international students.”(Straits Times, 2018). This solution had been derived from the fact that the government has put a limit to the capacity of the number of international students in our universities since the 2011 National Day Rally speech by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Allowing a wider array of culture to be infused into the Singaporean system creates the bridge to global citizenship therefore infusing a new flavour of what the world beyond Singaporean seas are like. An amazing impromptu live performance by our fellow student Adella during our Christmas celebration! You will definitely be awed by her vocals and talent! It was so impromptu and sudden as we dragged her to do a short gig for us, but it was definitely worth it!
