This is buah keluak. An indigenous seed found in south east asia.The species name edule means “edible” in Latin, while buah keluak means “the fruit which nauseates” in Malay and Indonesian. Coz if not prepared well, this seed contains cyanide. ☠️☠️☠️
But as Eurasians do, we still eat it! With Stacey's rempah and meat combo, it's the curry that keeps on giving. Damn shiok.
