The Rave Harps Academy has been in Singapore for more than 10 years, changing the musical landscape for the harp in the region. We have nurtured a whole generation of young harpists, from as young as 5 years old and shaped them into outstanding musicians who enjoy the harp and enjoy making music. Many of our students have taken a step beyond just our shores and have won international competitions
in Japan, Thailand, France and the United Kingdom. Many of our graduates have also taken up the instrument professionally and pursued tertiary studies in harp at exclusive and prestigious music schools. Students of Rave Harps Academy also have the opportunity to join the Rave Harpers. Led and directed by Young Artist award winner Katryna Tan, this group was formed in year 2004 and has since performed in various musical events and concerts. Goslar & Hannover- Part 2
More musical adventures await us as we left Berlin to visit the quaint town of Goslar-some rain welcomed us but it was still a wonderful insight to the well preserved medieval town (protected from damage of World War 2) . In Hannover, we had the privilege of being shown around by a Bruchmesiter (Hannover Guard) ๐ with wonderful insights to this great city.
Rave Harpers had an amazing musical experience with the harp studio of Isabel Moreton! From Masterclass with Isabel, a joint solo concert with Hannover young musicians and a special highlight a Joint Singapore-Germany Harp Ensemble performance accompanied by String Orchestra. We were impressed as Rave Harpers suddenly seemed to understand the German language (conductor spoke only German during the rehearsal), but everyone could follow and perform alongโฆ.. and the wonderful pizza dinner together after .. the sight of German and Singaporean young musicians from all ages from 7-18 all happily bonding and making friendsโฆ was really touching.
A truly immersive cultural experience which truly reflects โMusic IS a Universal Languageโ! ๐

Berlin- Part 1
Highlights of the trip include a Grand Winnersโ Gala Concert at the amazing Wilhelm Kaiser Concert Hall, Masterclass with amazing Sivan Magen, visit to Camac (Berlin) store for exchange program & performance with Berlin harpists, musical workshops with all the other young musicians from around the world and visiting important musical landmarks like UDK Music University, illustrious Music instrument Museum and amazing Berliner Philharmoniker.
In addition to these memorable musical gems, the well-planned itinerary gave a great cultural insight into Germany history with visits to grand venues like the Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Memorial, Museum island, Berlin Wall etc.
And most importantly everyone had fun with friends and family together and many great takeaways for our your musicians learning journey! Proud of our Rave Harpers for performing well in concerts and Masterclass.

The Korea International Harp Competition has announced the winners of this yearโs contest, which took place April 24โ28, 2024, in Seoul, South Korea. Renee Yadav of Singapore (pictured) won first prize in the young professional division. Eve Lung (China) won first prize in the youth division, Anlan Cong won first prize in the junior 1 division, and Ying Chu Liu (China) won first prize in the junior 2 division.

We're thrilled that the retreat was a great success! ๐ถ From the amazing performances of all participants, showcasing remarkable improvement throughout the retreat, to the heartwarming bonds formed among fellow harpists โ it's been truly special to witness! ๐โจ The closing concert was filled with the sound of harps, brimming with musical passion each and every harpist present. ๐๐ต
