Rave Harps Rave Harps, founded by award-winning harpist Katryna Tan, is Singapore's leading Harp Academy and to Rave Harpers is Singaporeโ€™s leading Harp orchestra.

The Rave Harps Academy has been in Singapore for more than 10 years, changing the musical landscape for the harp in the region. We have nurtured a whole generation of young harpists, from as young as 5 years old and shaped them into outstanding musicians who enjoy the harp and enjoy making music. Many of our students have taken a step beyond just our shores and have won international competitions

in Japan, Thailand, France and the United Kingdom. Many of our graduates have also taken up the instrument professionally and pursued tertiary studies in harp at exclusive and prestigious music schools. Students of Rave Harps Academy also have the opportunity to join the Rave Harpers. Led and directed by Young Artist award winner Katryna Tan, this group was formed in year 2004 and has since performed in various musical events and concerts. A momentous occasion for Singaporeโ€™s community yesterday (12 Feb 2025) as the very first community harp- โ€œFaerieโ€ was placed at Dhoby Ghaut MRT! Now, everyone can truly play the HARP! ๐ŸŽถ

This special milestone was officiated by Guest of Honour Ms. Joan Pereira (MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC), Mr. Lam Shea Kai (President, SMRT Trains), and Katryna Tan (President, The Harp Association).

The launch was made even more festive with beautiful performances by Ms. Katryna Tan, harpists from The Harp Association, Rave Harpers Ensemble (both children and adults), and violinists from RAMP Academy.

We hope this community harp brings joy to everyoneโ€”whether youโ€™re taking a break from your busy day or simply exploring the magic of music. Stop by, try your hand at playing, and experience the therapeutic power of the โ€œFaerieโ€! Our Story

Rave Harps Academy, pioneered by award-winning harpist Katryna Tan, is the leading Harp School in Singapore. Rave Harps has seen through almost 20 years of harp education. From young children starting from 4 years old, to aspiring adults, Rave Harps has spread the joy of harping to each person that has come through our doors.

At Rave Harps Academy, many of our Rave Harpers have gone on to become professional harpists, and pursuing tertiary education in prestigious music conservatories locally and abroad. Beyond our shores, the Rave Harpers have also won many international competitions, in Vienna, France, United Kingdom, United States, Japan, Korea, Thailand and Hong Kong. Our harpists have also been widely acclaimed to be versatile and talented harpists for embarking diverse projects as solo and ensemble harpists.

Rave Harps has also advocated adults to learn the harp, bringing the joy and benefits of the Harp to many across Singapore, Malaysia and beyond.
