In fishing, nothing is guaranteed even with the best gear equipped; luck still plays a part in encountering the desired species on any given day. We were fortunate that our anglers had what was needed, combined with the experience of our captain and his guidance, resulting in some fantastic catches during the recent trip to Semporna.

This fishing trip is one of the most desired for all anglers, offering the opportunity to jig in different depths of water and be surprised by a wide variety of species.

An Unforgettable Fishing Adventure at Cheow Lan Lake!

We recently had the pleasure of embarking on a fishing trip at Cheow Lan Lake. Cheow Lan Lake was nothing short of paradise. Nestled in the heart of nature, the serene waters and breathtaking scenery created the perfect backdrop for a fishing adventure, with an abundance of fish and a tranquil environment that allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in nature, including surprise encounters with the wild at times.

The lodging was clean and well-maintained, with all basic needs provided and equipped with all the necessary safety features, ensuring a comfortable and worry-free stay. Especially the Thai food cook by the chef was awesome!

This trip was truly a memorable experience with wonderful people. It was a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and learning. We caught a variety of fish, and the thrill of reeling in a big catch was incomparable. Everybody came away with not only some awesome catches but also a deeper appreciation for the art of freshwater fishing and the beauty of nature.

Of course, the highlight was hunting for the river mahseer. Hiking up bashing through the forest and the river stream into the deep river mouth for some river mahseer added an adventurous touch to our trip.

A special shoutout is due to the captain and his ranger who was attached to us throughout the trip. Their assistance and dedication to ensuring our safety at all times were invaluable. Their expertise and guidance added an extra layer of comfort to our adventure, allowing us to fully enjoy without any worries.
