Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), Malaysia Airlines’ parent company, has indicated plans to retire its Airbus A380 fleet “in the coming months”.

Under the plan, MAG will reorganise operations to include two other profit centres, travel solutions and aviation services.

Following recommendations from the Climate Change Committee (CCC), the UK government said that "it would become the first major nation to include international aviation in its carbon dioxide emissions targets."

Both Singapore and Hong Kong have agreed to green light their travel bubble on May 26.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, "under the travel bubble, there are no restrictions on the purpose of travel and no requirements for a controlled itinerary or sponsorship."

Ministry of Transport, Singapore commented that "the COVID-19 situation in Hong Kong has improved, with very few local unlinked COVID-19 cases over the past few weeks. Community cases in Singapore remained very low throughout the time...The risk profiles of both cities are therefore now similar."
