Since President Trump's initial tariff threats in November, precious metals markets have feared levies on gold and silver from Mexico and Canada. Those fears are now confirmed - on 1 February '25, Trump signed Executive Orders imposing a 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico and 10% on China, effective 4 February '25.
