The ribbon fish, commonly known as the belt fish.

This is one of the largest specimen I ever came across, measuring at about 1.8m.

Belt fish is good for pan-frying. Just rub a little sea salt to taste.

One of the common myths is that White Pomfrets are cheap. Fact is, White Pomfret is the most expensive pomfret among all. (Compare size to size) The meat of the white pomfret is so tender and succulent, perfect for steaming. And, it tastes much better than Chinese Pomfret.

Sizes like this (700g-800g) is highly sought for, its a perfect dinner size fish for 2-3 pax.
