My love for anything Japan and Japanese started when I was a teenager, due to the influence of the magazine show, Japan Hour. And my passion for Japanese cuisine led me to acquire and sharpen my culinary skills at Tokyo Sushi Academy as well as learning journeys in Japan. I am lucky to receive guidance from my sensei who belongs to a family of 3 generations of sushi chef/restaurateur an
d other experienced Japanese culinary talents in Ibaraki, Nikko and other places. I have managed to source for HALAL and Muslim-friendly ingredients and non-alcoholic mirin substitute, ALHAMDULILLAH. I will also share some information about Japanese food and ingredients so that we may be aware of what we are consuming.
