The rose flowers (玫瑰) is a household name now and its a popular floral tea thanks to its sweet smell and light bitter taste. Furthermore, as we sip on this beautiful tea we do gain benefits such as weight loss & stress relieve. The rose is a warm herb and attends to the liver and spleen. More importantly, it is known for its benefit to regulate qi. Qi stagnation (being stuck 气滞) is more commonly found in the liver which can cause emotional issues like anger, frustration and affect how we handle stress. Rose flowers help to regulate this qi and thus is known for its stress relieve benefits. Adding on, as the liver is an important organ to regulate blood and thus rose flowers is also known to be a herb to help against menstrual pain. When it works on the spleen, it's warm properties help with digestion to alleviate symptoms such as bloatedness(胃胀) and lack of appetite(没有食欲). TCM Ingredient focus: Jue Ming Zi 决明子

Another cooling herb to use to counter heat related illness is Cassia Seed (决明子). The seed is known for its properties to clear liver heat which can produce a calming effect for people. As the liver is linked with our eyes, such liver boosting herbs can also help to boost our eyesight. This is why the cassia seed is also used in our Eyes Liver Nourishing Tea. Besides helping the liver, the seed also works on the large intestines which can help with heat related digestion problems like constipation. Cassia seeds thus is also a herb for slimming as it not only helps with digestion but also helps lower blood pressure and cholesterol. We use the seeds in our slim fit herbal tea too! Due to its cooling nature, it is not advisable to consume this constantly and to people with weaker spleen/stomach, it is not advisable to consume the seed alone. Lets talk about an ingredient that we have used in our products. Honeysuckle Flowers (金银花）is a common herb in TCM used to clear heat and toxicity. Honeysuckle is known to affect the heart, lungs and stomach and thus, is used to relive cold and flu. The popular yin chiao tablets for cold uses honeysuckle flowers as one of its main ingredients. Besides this, the flower is also known for its anti inflammatory properties due to its cold nature and thus, are used as headache & digestion reliefs. Why do we choose TCM?

In the past, as a tour leader, we have very minimal time to finish our meal and quite often needed to rush arriving at destinations in time. On many occasions, we have had anxiety or panic. Have you ever have the same feeling as me? I have not been taking good care of myself especially my health in the past. I just took pills for fast or almost instant relief when I suffered from pain. Just last year, I was forced to stay at home during a circuit breaker. With that extra time, I started to learn the relaxing pace of life and paying attention to my daily food intake. I specifically enjoy much from blending and making herbal tea. The change in better health is iso obvious. As such, we would like to take the opportunity to share some tips with everyone.
