Updates on MyActiveSG+
Hey everyone, it’s Sebastian from the MyActiveSG+ team again.
A bunch of us spent this weekend at pools and gyms across Singapore to help users adjust to the new platform, and collect more feedback. Although most of you were able to enter facilities fairly smoothly, some of you experienced challenges and delays. We wanted to address those, and keep you updated on the fixes and improvements we’ve made over the weekend:
What we’ve learnt and fixed:
Users couldn’t access MyActiveSG+ on older browsers
We’ve added fixes to support older browsers, and enabled ground staff to help buy passes for anyone who is unable to.
Buying and using passes was confusing
Some of you could not find your passes or complete the purchase. Hence, we made the purchase button easier to find and now display your purchased passes more prominently on the home page for quicker access.
Both parents want to view child passes bought by one another
We’ve updated the system so either parent can view their linked children’s passes, regardless of which parent made the purchase.
People were unsure whether to use the old ActiveSG app or the new MyActiveSG+ platform
Many of you came to pools and gyms with passes bought on the old ActiveSG app, which is no longer in use. We’ve updated the old app to direct people to the new MyActiveSG+ platform, and will also be sending follow-up reminders to move everyone over.
There was confusion about passes, credits, and MyCash balances from the old ActiveSG app
To recap:
· Passes: The unused portion of passes will be prorated and refunded to your PayNow-NRIC-linked bank account by 30 September 2024. ActiveSG credits will be credited to your MyActiveSG+ account by 30 November 2024. For more details, please visit https://www.activesgcircle.gov.sg/myactivesg-plus?filter=important_announcements
· MyCash balances: MyCash balances will be refunded to your PayNow-NRIC-linked bank account by 31 August 2024.
· ActiveSG credits: All credits for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents have been migrated, and can be used on the new system. These credits are valid till 31 December 2025. We are currently processing the migration of earned credits for foreigners.
Upcoming:
Making it easier for children and people without Singpass to buy passes
Many parents are concerned that their children can’t enter facilities without them, and find it troublesome to buy single-use passes each time. We’re looking into ways for children and people without Singpass to access facilities easily. But in the meantime, our ground staff can help non-Singpass holders buy passes and enter facilities.

Why are we moving to a new system?
The contract for the old ActiveSG app was expiring, and we opted to build MyActiveSG+ in-house. This lets us respond to feedback and improve the system more quickly, and address long-standing issues like bots and scalpers. Building it ourselves also saved a lot of money, which we can now channel to other needs and programmes, such as the $10 ActiveSG credit for everyone moving onto the new platform.
When will turnstiles be ready?
We have plans to integrate our platform with new entry systems. Unfortunately, the timing did not align with the expiration of the old system. After doing user research and small-scale trials, we introduced passes without any turnstile integration as a temporary measure, so users could continue accessing pools and facilities. We will continue to keep you updated on our progress.

· Made payment confirmation button ‘sticky’ at bottom of screen so it’s easier to see and tap, to speed up purchase
· Allowed either parent to see their children’s passes, regardless of who bought
