In spring 2019, photographer Joe Neely captured a truly breathtaking moment that touched hearts worldwide. While traveling through the American West with his girlfriend, Nicole, he stumbled upon a flower-filled field in Colorado, where vibrant purple and orange blossoms stretched endlessly.

Amid the gentle hum of bees collecting pollen, something extraordinary happened.

Joe noticed a bee moving slower than the rest, visibly exhausted from a long day’s work. Covered in pollen, she hovered for a moment, checked the air, and then settled into a flower to rest.

Then—something even more magical occurred.

Another tiny bee joined her, curling up on the same flower, and together, they slept. 😴🌸

Joe, in awe, captured the moment with his macro lens, witnessing a side of nature few ever see. Later, as the sun warmed the petals, the two bees woke up and flew away, refreshed and ready to continue their work.

"I had no idea that bees slept in flowers," Joe shared.

This stunning photograph is a gentle reminder of the quiet, unseen beauty in the world around us—where even the busiest creatures take a moment to rest. 🐝💛

Animals capacity to experience feelings and emotional depth often underestimated; they are not mere objects, but living beings with intricate inner lives.

While their experience differs from our own, they share with us the capacity for love, loss, joy, and sorrow.
Their expressions of mourning, affection, and suffering demonstrate a profound awareness of their own existence and the world around them, mirroring the complex spectrum of human emotion.

Recognizing this shared capacity for feeling underscores the ethical responsibility we bear towards their well-being. ❤☀

“She would have been 7 years old on Feb 27. I rescued her when she was 2 days old. She had been released several times and always stayed close to home. she came back to give birth to her babies. Watching her delivery and raising her kits was the most amazing experience I have ever had being a rehabber.

She was a fighter, she survived distemper, she was poisoned, several different attacks in the wild. The distemper left her with neurological issues, that point she was deemed non-releasable. She has been indoors with me for almost 5 years now. Her and I have been so much together. We both dependent on each other she could make it without me and I couldn't make it without her.

The bond that her and I developed with each other was like no other that I've ever experienced. NAWTY fell asleep on my chest her last night and when I woke up she was still laying on my chest she looked up at me and licked my chin once then took a few deep breaths and she was gone. My heart is hurting so bad. I am totally lost without her. She was my soulmate there's no words that can describe how much I loved her.

Thank you for accepting me into this group. And I'm sending my heartfelt condolences to all that have lost their love. Many blessings to you all.

An underwater photographer captured the exact moment when a female seahorse transfers her eggs to the male, who will incubate them until they hatch.

Seahorses are monogamous and among the animals that show love for their partner in the most tender ways. At sunrise, they are so happy to see each other that they dance for over five minutes. With their tails intertwined, they greet each other with a "good morning," changing their colors to more vibrant shades. Throughout the day, they swim side by side, exchange affectionate gestures, blush, and make up after quarrels. They love enjoying life and good food: they can eat more than three thousand shrimp a day. They are the only species in which the male gives birth after incubating the eggs that the female lays in his pouch. They love each other forever.
