Very sad news indeed. RIP.

Over the years, we have turned away many hiking enthusiasts who wish to attempt Yushan. Unfortunately, most of them have little or no hiking experience. Yushan is a difficult climb and not suitable for beginners. It is hard climb (being hiking/trekking enthusiasts ourselves) and requires experience with high altitude trekking. Fast acclimatization us required.

If it is on your bucket list, ensure you have sufficient climbing experience before attempting Yushan. Go with a serious hiking group so that you have support if something goes wrong.

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — A 47-year-old hiker from Kaohsiung, surnamed Huang (黃), died after descending from Yushan's main peak on Monday (June 17), slipping and falling 300 meters down a steep slope.

Another positive review from one of our earliest clients. She had reminded us how far we come during the 13 years we are in business. Her kids were young and now they had all grown up. Gosh, where did all the time fly to ?

Anyway, with the recent earthquake in Hualien (happening a couple of days before their trip), they decided to forgo their vacation for safety reasons. We did our best in assisting for their insurance claims and was elated they had a good outcome.

Our support does not pertain to during vacation only. It extends before and after your vacation. Relationships are more important than the business itself.

When you take care of clients, the clients will take care of you.

[Announcement]

There has been a lot of panic and fear due to the recent 7.2 Hualien earthquake.

We have been working tirelessly with our local partners to assess the current situation. We would advise clients to avoid Yilan-Hualien (particularly the Suhua highway) during this period. The rest of Taiwan is not deeply impacted.

We have received news from Cingjing/Alishan/Miaoli/Taichung and Taipei that things are as per usual for our vendors.

For the groups that are traveling with us up till June, we would have contacted you if we felt the need to reroute your itinerary for safety reasons. We have suggested alternative routes that are equally enjoyable and that are safe.

If anyone of you need any further information with regards to your vacation with us, please feel free to whatsapp us.
