At the forefront of this convergence is the new Generative AI Accelerate Programme, launched by NUS Enterprise through its flagship global start-up development platform, BLOCK71, in collaboration with Microsoft.

Associate Professor Benjamin C.K. Tee, NUS Vice President (Ecosystem Building), explained, “The Gen AI Accelerate Programme seeks to identify and accelerate the growth of promising pre-Series A start-ups working on generative AI models with a unique intensive eight-week programme and 16-week support in our BLOCK71 Southeast Asian ecosystem. Working with Microsoft, we hope to nurture Asia’s next generation of AI start-ups through this programme.”

Congratulations to our NUS Graduate Research Innovation Programme (GRIP) alumni, Bryan Oh and Kenneth Palmer, Co-founders of NEU Battery Materials, and Kit Y., Founder of Forte Biotech - RAPID Aquaculture Diagnostics, for making this year's Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list! 🎉

Bryan and Kenneth founded NEU Battery Materials in 2021 to recycle production-grade lithium from waste batteries using their patented electrochemical redox targeting technology. Meanwhile, Kit launched Forte Biotech, an agriculture tech start-up in Singapore, which has developed a diagnostic product for prawn farmers in Southeast Asia to help diagnose diseases and monitor pathogen levels in ponds.
