Irwan Shah is a drum educator and musician from Singapore. He has been an RSL Examiner since 2012 and has invigilated students from China, South Africa, India and the Philippines.

Irwan Shah also holds a Licentiate (Level 6) in Teaching Diploma from RSL Awards and attained a distinction in his Grade 8 Drums Graded exams from RSL awards.
A versatile musician and teacher, Irwan's experiences stretch across, having taught students of different interests and needs, such as improvisation, aural, viva voce and composition fundamentals throughout his 12 years of teaching. Irwan's strong belief in a problem-based learning approach is religiously practiced when teaching diploma students, allowing critical thinking and open communication between his students.

Currently holding the position of Academic Head at the Academy of Rock Singapore, one of his roles is ensuring quality teaching across instruments presently being offered.
