This time last week, we were engulfed in gaming goodness at gamescom asia. As the event's official retro games partner, we recreated the magic of Retro City - our intimate retro experience right here in Singapore - with a mini pop-up that drew a fervent crowd throughout the weekend.
With our trusted partners, Eliphant - Game Marketing & Esports Specialist, we produced content for gaming giant Capcom once more. We dived into the heart of esports action, providing extensive coverage of the Capcom Singapore Pro Tour Premier, where Red Bull Japan’s Gachikun triumphed over more than 300 fierce competitors in Street Fighter 6.
Our mission didn't end there. We shone a spotlight on some of Asia-Pacific's hottest indie game developers and their exceptional games at Wavemakers by the creators of GameStart Asia, unquestionably our favourite booth.
Gamescom Asia hosted over 34,000 attendees, 136 exhibitors, and pavilions from 67 countries, setting a new record as the largest combined gaming event in Singapore. Over 80 homegrown Southeast Asian games were showcased, serving as a testament to the region's thriving indie gaming scene.
To those of you who dropped by to say hi, supported the event in your own way, and even made purchases at Retro City, we'd like to express our deepest gratitude for being a part of this unforgettable gaming odyssey. Congrats to the Gamescom Asia team and its partners for orchestrating its maiden B2C event despite the obstacles faced.
In an industry where change is the only constant, we're incredibly grateful to still be here after 14 years, creating, challenging ourselves, and exploring new realms.
