FDSS Chinese New Year annual celebration, celebrating the festival of spring with flowers, fun games and festive cheer. It was amazing to see so many participants with smiling faces and happy to share with us in the excitement and joyful celebration together.
Christopher Lim AIFD,CFD, our well recognised floral artist and educator conducted an interesting creative floral demonstration/workshop using mini bamboo sticks and angpows. It was very well received and all workshop participants took home their own personal arrangements.
Our big Thanks to all Committee members for your enthusiastic contributions to this event. All attendees enjoyed the well
planned potluck home-cooked yummy food and desserts.
The fun game and lucky draw were the highlights of the evening.

We thank Rona Ee AIFD, CFD for her generous gesture, opening up ‘Sing See Soon Floral & Landscape Pte Ltd’ for this festive occasion. Her contribution of $100 gift voucher for the lucky draw added to the excitement.

We thank All gift sponsors especially Ms June Foo AIFD,CFD for the top 3 big angpow cash prizes. All went home happy with their prizes.
It was a successful memorable event with specially prepared festive orange pack gift presented to all individuals by Christina Pang AIFD, CFD.

What a treat!
Fdss welcomed our Korean young designers with buying materials and preparation for the show 😅.

FDSS's Year End Party - Rolling Good Times was held at the Shangri-La Hotel on Saturday, 28th December 2024 where members and their guests gathered for an afternoon of flowers, food and fun.

To add to the party ambience, the venue was decorated with fairy lights, paper flowers and fans made by members and table centrepieces specially made by Christina Pang, AIFD, CFD.

Packed to the brim, the program highlights included an opening dance by Nite Club Ladz, a captivating and beautiful floral demonstration by two promising Korean young designers,

Thank you, Minsook Song for bringing them in at the invitation of FDSS.

After a sumptuous high tea, it was time for fun and games, a raffle draw which saw many taking home prizes generously contributed by sponsors and an auction of the two designers' floral designs.

The afternoon ended with group photographs and everyone leaving with specially prepared door gifts.
It was once again a sold out and successful event.

Kudos to the committee led by Chairman, Christopher Lim, AIFD, CFD who worked so hard. Many thanks to both members and their guests for supporting and participating in this event organized for the first time in FDSS's 27 years' history. It was an unforgettable and memorable afternoon.

As a prelude to the Rolling Good Times Year End Party, The Art of Paper Floristry Workshop was conducted by Philip Foo yesterday at CreativeWorkz where participants gathered to learn and make paper roses, carnations and round pleated paper fans for the year end party.

Everyone also enjoyed a sumptuous tea with food generously prepared and contributed by members.

The afternoon ended with a birthday celebration for Zoe, and presentation of a beautiful bouquet of paper roses and token to the workshop presenter and must-have group photos with everyone showing off their creations.

It was an afternoon of fun learning and socialising.

Introducing the first of our 2 stars - JUNSEO YUN
Catch JUNSEO LIVE in action, a talented student from Yeonam University in the Republic of Korea, specializing in Smart Horticulture with a focus on floristry. Junseo’s exceptional skills and creativity have garnered numerous accolades in the floral design industry.

This thank you goes out to our 13th FDSS International Design Competition Chairman,
Ms Ta Quynh Giang!

She took up the post and did a fantastic job!
From forming her working committee, coordinating with NParks, Pico, different teams, suppliers, sponsors, visual, site tour, overseas contacts, paper work and more.

It’s is demanding position and she is always ready to be in action, full of energy and enthusiasm!
This is all on top of her other commitments and roles in her busy personal life. she puts FDSS Cup her top priority in the last year!
