Amidst the loud noises of passengers complaining about babies and kids on flight, this is a heartwarming story. We’ve encountered numerous strangers who go out of their way to help us placate a cranky baby or a kid on tantrum. And having the attention of a stranger usually does the trick. But having a plane full of strangers singing Baby Shark to a crying baby is beyond amazing!
TikTok users say their faith in humanity has been restored after airline passengers helped calm a jittery toddler by singing the popular kids' song.
Well done!!!
A six-year-old Singaporean boy trekked to Mount Everest Base Camp and became the youngest citizen to achieve the feat.
Back in 2019, we contacted Driveacampervan.com for tips and suggestions for a campervan adventure in NZ. Subsequently, we also booked a campervan through them. Highly recommended!
That’s me.

Fast forward to a decade later, our family has grown and we have been on numerous family holidays together. But what will be really special is to have the opportunity to revisit the very destination where our family travel adventures began! ❤️
Because today is 9 August, we sang National Day songs in the car, carry mini flags around and had chicken rice.
Happy birthday Singapore, our Home! ❤️

With the borders open, some of us may be flocking overseas to travel the world, but some of us may still be wary of our health and safety! Fret not, as our family has gone on another staycation: to Dusit Thani! Being a Thai hotel and resort, surrounded by delicious Thai food, our experience there was exceptional! It’s been slightly over 2 years since Familytrippers and our little community of family travellers stopped inspiring others to travel and we can’t wait to get going again.
A million Qantas points will mean we get to plan for our first Covid travel and bring along another family with us. Familytrippers was born with the aim of bringing families together through the common love of travelling. What better way to do that than to share the miles with another family! ❤️

What first day of Ramadan looks like in our family.
Since the boys started fasting full day, the first few days of Ramadan are always a bit more challenging for us. Getting boys up for sahur, keeping them engaged with things so that they don’t keep asking to eat or drink in the day, ensuring they don’t gobble up their food during buka so that they won’t end up with an upset tummy, encouraging them to keep going during terawih - these will be our small wins for the day.
A couple of tips for parents with young kids who are learning to puasa. Make the process of fasting and praying terawih an enjoyable one for them. Encourage them to eat and chew slowly. They have smaller tummies than us, there is so much they can eat and drink at one go. Share your own memorable puasa stories with them to keep them motivated.
It’s ok if they are not ready to fast full day yet, there are other good deeds and ibadah they can do to gain Allah SWT’s blessings. Celebrate their full days or half days of puasa, full or partial rakaats of terawih. InsyaAllah, things will be better with each passing day.
Ramadan Mubarak!
Indeed! ❤️
Home sweet home for Malaysians in Singapore.
My second time ordering bento cakes for birthdays, this time for a joint birthday celebration for the firstborn and my sister. Loving the illustrations by ! Thank you for taking in the last minute orders too! ❤️
The best thing about giving birth at is that we are given a baby bathtub each time. Izz’s bathtub has been well utilised not just by the baby of the family these last 4 years. The older brothers also took turns to indulge in a mini bath time!
We are finally disposing this today, so I got the boys to pose for a photo in memory of Izz’s bathtub and the bathtubs that came before him.
Our kinda reunion dinner last night. 💕

We’ve heard so many raving reviews about this playground and since we were in the vicinity and didn’t have any plans that evening, we decided to swing by! 26 slides altogether! Can you believe it? The hilly terrains were a bit daunting for Izz at first (and me too, tbh!) but the kids could all manage. Izz only went on the smaller slides cos the rest were too scary for him. Hubby and I didn’t offer to climb with him either! 😂 📍Admiralty Park (Next to Republic Polytechnic) Price: FREE! Fun factor: 👍👍👍👍
Our idea of posing for photos is to pretend that the shots are candidly taken. But nope, obviously we did pose for them! 😂 Taken at @dollopsg pop-up photo booth at @singpostcentre . Last day to claim a free 5minute photo session tomorrow!

Revisiting and adding on to this collection of my breastfeeding x travel photos makes me happy. Our family travels have always been our greatest highlights of the year. And to have travelled to places with the little ones in tow, many of which with a little nursling, is a personal achievement for me. Glad I made hubby capture some of these precious nursing moments. ❤️ May we get to travel again and explore the world safely with our little ones. In the meantime, we will continue to explore Singapore. Happy World Breastfeeding Week! 🤱🏻
A conversation I had with Dani on Saturday - Dani: Ibu, can we go back to New Zealand once there’s no more Covid19? Me: Why? Dani: I want to stay in a campervan again. It was so much fun. —— Been wanting to go on a campervan adventure with your family? We’ve put together a throwback video of our campervan experience in New Zealand in December 2019. What type of a parent are you? Would you jump in and solve your kid’s problems or do you just sit and wait, and intervene when necessary? I’m pretty much the latter because I believe kids are excellent problem solvers and that the learning is more impactful when it’s something that they themselves come up with. But I also believe in the use of nudges and interventions to guide them along. So yes, it’s not about being totally hands-off either, but as parents, we need to be able to assess the situation and be prepared to step in when necessary. #familycoachSG #momoftiktok
Pick up a new language this year-end holidays, with Familytrippers and friends. Here’s a peek into what took place in our first Zoom class last week with Teacher Naz from @allezlespetits.
Question: Will you be tempted to play along? We had our second IGLive session today and we exchanged notes with Mr Bottle from @magical_travel_journal on how families can keep safe and not fall for tricks and scams while travelling. This was a scene our family chanced upon when we were checking out the Berlin Wall back in 2018. Halfway through, I was asked to stop recording by one of the accomplices. Mr Bottle himself is a magician and can see through the slips that such tricksters make. His advice to everyone : “Don’t bother to join in, there’s no way you can win. And even if you somehow do, they won’t be happy.” More on #IGTV. #berlin #berlinwall #europe #europe2018 #trickster #travel #europetravel #europetrip #germany #safetravel #safetravels
