🔋 Serial vs. Parallel Hybrid: What's the Difference? ⚡️

A full electric yacht runs solely on battery power - silent, emission-free, and perfect for lakes and eco-sensitive areas. But once the battery is depleted, it must be recharged.

A serial hybrid adds a diesel generator, which only charges the batteries to extend range. The yacht is still powered by electric motors, but it's no longer a "full electric" setup.

A parallel hybrid, like those from Greenline Yachts, offers the best of both worlds - electric propulsion for quiet cruising and diesel power for long journeys. Plus, in diesel mode, it recharges the batteries, ensuring seamless transitions between modes.
