🇸🇮 S težkim srcem vas obveščamo, da Kravji bal ODPADE! 🥺

Kljub temu, da smo na Turističnem društvu Bohinj, ki smo kot organizator do zadnjega vztrajali in pripravljali prizorišče z željo, da pripravimo še boljšo prireditev kot lani, nas je žal narava premagala in zaradi slabih vremenskih razmer odpovedujemo 66. Kravji bal. 😔🐮

Vrhove nad prireditvenim prizoriščem je pobelilo, prireditveni prostor pa dobro namočilo. Dodatne padavine so napovedane še za soboto preko dneva, še precej več pa jih bo severno od Karavank in na vzhodu. Tudi v nedeljo sredi dneva je precejšnja verjetnost dodatnih padavin, najvišje temperature v Ukancu pa bodo po trenutnih napovedih nekje do 12 stopinj, zjutraj pa le okrog šest stopinj Celzija. 🌧️🌬️

Hvala vsem nastopajočim in sodelujočim na prireditvi, ki ste z nami do zadnjega upali, da bo prireditev mogoče uspešno izvesti. ❤️ Hvala vsem obiskovalcem, ki ste že kupili vstopnice v predprodaji (ob vračilu vstopnic vam bomo v našem Info centru vrnili denar) in vsem, ki ste nas želeli obiskati. 🥰 Verjamemo, da nam bo vreme prihodnje leto bolj naklonjeno in da Kravji bal ponovno uspe tako kot lanski, ko nas je obiskalo rekordno število ljudi. 🙏

Kdor pa bo vseeno v nedeljo prišel na prizorišče prireditve v Ukancu, pa bo lahko dobil vsaj žgance z zeljem v kmečki kuhinji in kupil sir s planin… 🍲🧀😋

The Legend of Zlatorog

Zlatorog, or the Golden Horn, is one of the most famous and beloved figures in Slovenian mythology. The story of Zlatorog is a captivating blend of natural beauty, heroism, and tragedy, set in the stunning Triglav mountains, the highest peak in Slovenia. Here are the key elements of this myth:

The Golden Horn Chamois
Zlatorog is a mythical white chamois with golden horns. According to the legend, these horns are not only a symbol of majesty and beauty but also possess magical properties. The creature is said to roam the high meadows and rocky slopes of the Triglav mountains, an area known for its breathtaking landscapes and rugged terrain.

The Treasure
The legend tells of a hidden treasure in the Triglav mountains, guarded by Zlatorog. This treasure includes precious gems and gold, and it is believed to be so vast that it could make anyone who finds it incredibly wealthy. The exact location of this treasure is unknown, adding to the mystery and allure of the story.

The Hunter’s Tale
The most famous version of the Zlatorog legend involves a young and ambitious hunter from the Soča Valley. Desiring wealth and spurred on by the stories of the treasure, he decides to hunt Zlatorog and claim its golden horns. Despite warnings from the local villagers about the sacred nature of the chamois and the perils of such a quest, the hunter sets out on his mission.

The Encounter
After a long and arduous search, the hunter finally encounters Zlatorog. He manages to shoot the chamois, wounding it severely. However, as the legend goes, drops of Zlatorog's blood fall onto the ground, and from each drop, a miraculous flower known as the Triglav flower (or edelweiss) springs up. Zlatorog eats the flowers, which have healing properties, and is instantly rejuvenated.

The Revenge
Angered and vengeful, Zlatorog retaliates against the hunter. Using its powerful horns, it dislodges rocks and causes an avalanche, leading to the hunter's demise. The story serves as a cautionary tale about greed and disrespecting nature and the sacred beings that inhabit it.

Symbolism and Legacy
Zlatorog is more than just a mythical creature; it embodies the spirit of the Julian Alps and the natural beauty of Slovenia. The legend highlights the themes of respect for nature, the consequences of human greed, and the magical qualities attributed to the natural world. It is a story that has been passed down through generations and remains a significant part of Slovenian cultural heritage.
