Triglav is 2,863.65 metres above sea level and is the highest mountain in Slovenia. Its first recorded ascent occurred only in 1778, and before the Triglav area was known as the setting of an old Slovene folk tale concerning a hunter seeking a treasure guarded by an enchanted chamois buck named Zlatorog.
The mountain became the pre-eminent symbol of the Slovene nation since its feature in the firsts Slovene-language full-length films and later a theme of avant-garde artists during the 60’s. The distinctive shape of the mountain is today the central element of the Slovene coat of arms and featured on the flag of Slovenia.
Nature, history, creativity… We pay homage to the Triglav legend by selecting ‘masterpiece’ wines of character following the Slovenian tradition.
