FOLLOW THE COW - Cheese trails in

A great way to get in touch with friendly locals in Julian Alps is visiting the small 🧀 cheesemaking communities on the high pastures of Triglav National Park.

Each summer local herds of 🐄 cows are moved high up in the mountains where they graze on fresh Alpine herbs and grass.
The result can hardly get any better, a beautiful milk that gets transformed into artisan cheese.

Some of the 💚 best places to visit are Velika Planina (The Great Higland) in , high pastures above in Triglav National Park and probably our favorite spot the steep slopes beneath Mt Krn in the Southern part of .

1) Walking in the famous near lake Bled. Come early before the crowds or JOIN US on a longer hike to some sweet secluded corners of this natural gem.

2) Hiking in the upper is a must. The emerald Soca river is crown jewel of Slovenian nature. THe famous goes through this area.

3) Nothing better than on a hot summer day. Combine hiking with a nearby (30min drive) Wine Country - Goriska Brda or dinner in Kobarid at Michelin 2* Ana Ros Casa Franko.

4) Soca river between towns Bovec and Kobarid.

5) Wild is Slovenia's prime destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

2 - Yep, this is a postcard of Slovenia. One and only lake Bled. This is our charming base for hikes in Julian Alps.

3 - The river Soca is the crown jewel of Slovenian nature. This emerald beauty flows in the Western part of the country. Check the area around towns of Bovec and Kobarid.

4 - Ljubljana is the capital of Slovenia. Green, with amazing old town and no traffic in the center. Pretty cool. Add gastro-pubs, hip cafes and plenty of good vibe.
