Waterman, a man living in river Ljubljanica, is a main protagonist in many stories. Helping villagers of pure heart or taking a presumptous woman to his realms as he does in Prešeren’s poem, he seems to be around for a long time.

You can almost feel his presence while passing Ljubljanica river. Enjoy the water vibe in the apartment while imagining what his chambers are like.

Dragon, symbol of Ljubljana. In some of the stories the dragon who was living in Ljubljana’s swamp was feared and in others it was loved and protected the city from invaders. Either way, it is one of the most recognizable icons and while strolling the streets you will find it present at all times.

You can get onboard the dragon hype train with staying in our apartment dedicated to this majestic creature.

Emona, predecessor of Ljubljana, was built on the site of Roman military stronghold in AD 14. Settelment, fortified with strong walls, was bubbling with life until first half of 6th century when city was left by its last resident.

Just a short walk from our apartments you can find Emona’s southern wall or Statue of Emonian, reminding us of Ljubljana’s history.
