During three exciting weeks in July, students attend courses, discover local culture, Ljubljana & Slovenia and socialise with people from around the world.

[Ljubljana Summer School – Optional programme] Trip to Bled and Bohinj organised by

Bohinj is a green Oasis in the Julian Alps. Students discovered that the Savica waterfall is unique among waterfalls in the world, as the water flow splits into two streams in the hidden underground. They enjoyed canoeing on the Bohinj lake, in the wonderful world of beauty, peace and tranquillity. Pleasantly tired from the fresh mountain air, they continued the journey to , the Green pearl of the Slovenian Alps. Finally they tasted Bled’s original local pastry, Bled custard cake (try to pronounce it in Slovenian »blejska kremšnita«).

[Ljubljana Summer School – Optional programme] Trip to Sečovlje Salina Nature Park and Piran with

Authentic experience at the Sečovlje Salt Pans are one of the last salt pans in the Mediterranean, where salt is obtained manually with a method which is several hundred years’ old. The trip continued to the pearl of the Slovenian coast, the city of Piran Students discovered a town at the very end of the Piranese peninsula, adorned by timeless sensational romance. In Piran, a deep-rooted tradition of salt panning merges with countless stories of the narrow town streets and the picturesque sights of the Slovenian Mediterranean. Piran became a part of Roman empire in 177 BC, later, between 13th and 17th century, it was governed by the Republic of Venice and left a staple at city's architecture.

Ljubljana is certainly a city with a rich history and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere.
