Did you know that Slovenia is the heart of snowdrops which are a native and widely distributed species. They grow on the margins of forests, meadow, in parks, gardens and elsewhere.

Our Botanical Garden has an extensive collection of snowdrops that contains around 8000 plants from different parts of Slovenia.

Unfortunately you just missed a lovely Festival of snowdrops held at the Ljubljana Botanic Garden at the beginning of March but can still have a wonderful walk around their gardens and enjoy the beauty of spring 🌸🌸🌸.

Since our garden extends into the forest of the Ljubljana Castle Hill you will find them naturally growing in our garden 🤍.
