The Italian Explorers Trip - Day Eight.
Calm seas, and after nine hours we're at Civitavecchia, the Port of Rome. We need some indulgence, so first stop Terme di Saturnia.
Pretty busy in June, so after an hour, we hit the road towards a wonderful lake in Lazio, Lago di Bolsena. Not only did we paddle and swim the clear waters, but we also found a simple, yet fantastic lakeside fish restaurant. We tried just about everything on the menu and enjoyed it immensely. We still need to get to Montepulciano in Tuscany, where the wine tasting is waiting for us in the evening. We spent the night in the Agriturismo Villa Notolla - the winery. A great start to the central Italy trip.

The Italian Explorers Trip - day Seven.
The last day on the Island before taking a ferry to Tuscany.
Challenging waters around Faraglioni di Cea, but great beach time. We chose a super local restaurant in the heart of Dorgali for our farewell dinner. What a treat again ... and there was also some love in the air. We'll be back for sure!

The Italian Explorers Trip - day Six.
Still on the paradise island, enjoying long breakfasts and the remoteness of the cozy hotel close to Villasimius. Escaping the busy beach by paddling to the nearby bay, and cooling down with the cocktail at the beach bar. A wine tasting of natural wines is what follows, together with the homegrown food on the table. One can not get more local, than enjoying your meal in the shade in the middle of the vineyard. Grazie Gianlu!

The Italian Explorers Trip - day Five.
Conquering the tiny islet of Tuaredda and visiting Chia and its beautiful beaches. We got a taste of pizza for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. We drove to the very southeastern point of Sardinia for the night.

The wild Sant'Antiocco & the South of Sardinia. Hiking around the small island and paddling heavenly waters. We tasted the particular local food in a charming typical hotel by the lighthouse.

On the way south, paddling at S'Archittu, and relaxing on the Spiagetta dell'Arco, a tiny sandy beach next to the natural arch.
A nice surprise was a tasty fish restaurant in the charming town of Oristano, where we also spent the night.

The Italian Explorers Trip - day Two.
Clear skies but windy. We found ourselves on one of the most beautiful beaches, Cala Brandinchi. The plan was to paddle around and to the nearest beach, but the offshore winds forced us to stay in the bay. Discovering around on foot and tasting another typical Agriturismo in the evening. Oh, what a treat again!

The Italian Explorers Trip 2024 in June was just wonderful. We have covered the big part of the Sardinia Island, Tuscany, Abruzzo, and Puglia regions of Italy. Spending days in cheerful company and making unforgettable memories.

On day One, we paddled around Tavolara Island, visited the sandy beaches of the San Teodoro region, and tasted the typical Sardinian food at the local Agriturismo. We spend a night in a nice hotel nearby.

On this day, a year ago. A wonderful, Tailor-Made took us also to The White Land region - Bela krajina. A night, spent by the Kolpa River, paddling the challenging waters, and hiking to a beautiful viewpoint for a glass of local wine. A trout at our host's restaurant was beyond delicious too ... what a day!

Here we are, back from sunny & warm Greece. We are getting ready to sup tour Slovenia in September, and all of Greece in October.

Many options for diverse experiences in Slovenia, from joining our regular Alps to Coast trip, or making it Tailor-Made according to your desires and pace. The trip can be also prolonged/redesigned to Croatia.
In October, we'll be in Greece. The magical 15-day-long trip over Crete, Kythera & Peloponnese can be a marvelous, memorable experience. One week-long discovery of the Peloponnese or/and Northern Greece can be also prolonged and designed around your wishes. There's an option for a group of 6 persons tour for a desired budget as well.
Several dates are listed, but you can always contact us for custom dates to fit your schedule. For groups of 4 or more, there's a 20% last-minute discount available on all regular and custom tours.
