State is threatening to liquidate the social company CSS in the town of Škofja Loka. They say the firm is not competitive enough on the market. CSS currently employs 41 workers, almost half of them (19) are disabled. Syndicates are urging the state to reconsider its decision, cause many workers - primarily those who have one of the forms of disability will have problems getting another employment.

Na paraolimpijskih igrah v Parizu je zablestel 49-letni strelec Franček Gorazd Tiršek. Štirim medaljam s POI je dodal še peto! Poleg trenerke Andreje Gorjup je imel pomembno vlogo tudi fizioterapevt Luka Vukan. Več o tem pomembnem aspektu, ki prinaša uspehe v športu pa na spodnji povezavi.
Franc Gorazd Tiršek won a gold medal in para-shooting at last year's Paralympics in Paris. He says trust is an important part in success of sportsmen on the highest level. Evropska strategija o pravicah invalidov je vstopila v drugo fazo. Več pa na spodnji povezavi.
European strategy of the rights of the disabled population (2021-2030) has entered its second phase. It has been adopted back in March 2021 and six out of seven incentives have already been fulfilled. On of the biggest successes recently was for sure an European disability card. Until the end of the decade strategy aims to increase the number of employed people with disabilities, improve the quality of life of the disabled with the aim of them being more independent and to further develop their cooperation with other important state and regional institutions. Town of Ajdovščina in Western Slovenia has a long history. Its area was already inhabited during the time of the Romans and in it back in year 1945 first Slovene government was proclaimed there. Recently in the city the famous Rusty's House of bread was renovated there and made accessible for the wheelchair users.

Dominik was a perspective sportsmen, but almost a decade ago after and accident he ended up in a wheelchair. He says there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and we should never give up. He is still very passionate about sports, he often plays online chess but his man passion is painting and it the family house he has his own atelier. Radovljica in the Slovenia's Upper Carniolan region is very charming and that is why we always share photos of that city with you on our page. Now we also have good news that accessibility of the municipality is improving! Project regarding the development of mobility for people with different kinds of disabilities was presented. Members of the organization of the disabled, organizations of the retired people, Slovene government and members of the municipalities in the region met and all agreed that level of accessibility is improving. They reminded everybody of the project, which is running since 2016, which united more than 100 municipalities with Gedoetic Institute of Slovenia, which main aim is to improve the level of accessibility in all public areas and institutions in Slovenia.
