The Master Class is dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the festival and the idea that one of the best wine growing areas of sauvignon stretches across Austria, Slovenia and Croatia with branches towards Italy, Hungary and Serbia. That’s why we gathered three top experts from three neighboring countries:

– Peter MOSER is the editor-in-chief of the leading Austrian gastronomic publication Falstaff and the most influential person in the field of wine and gastronomic journalism in Austria,

– Saša ŠPIRANEC is the director of the cult Croatian wine festival Vinart and an international wine expert,

– Robert Gorjak is the internationally renowned expert with WSET Diploma and one of the leading Slovenian wine professionals, co-founder of the Belvin School, the first Slovenian wine school.

Quicktap is an automatic beer tap that was developed in Slovenia and launched in 2012. The idea was inspired by the American beer taps that fill up pints through a valve in the bottom. This tap is a little different. It still fills the glass from the bottom up, but the tap descends into the glass instead. It works with impressive speed—five seconds are enough to fill a pint, three to fill half a pint. This makes Quicktap very popular at festivals or big sports events. The taps can be used by the customers directly with the help of a pre-paid card. Chasing Away Winter ☀️🌬❄️ Kurenti announces the end of winter and beginning of spring. Being a kurent was at first a privilege offered only to unmarried men,but today, married men, children and women are also invited to wear the outfit. Kurentovanje is one of Slovenia's most popular and ethnologically significant carnival events. Town of Ptuj was admitted into the European Federation of Carnival Cities, as a host of the festival. One of the special things about Kurentovanje is that each village and town has its own traditions. Most groups of kurents/kurenti wear traditional sheepskin garments and typically have masks with long red tongues. All carry wooden sticks with hedgehog skins attached called ježevke.
