In 2018 the first World Bee Day was celebrated on 20th May. That is the birth date of Anton Janša, a famous teacher of beekeeping, born near Radovljica. Learn about Slovenian beekeeping at the Apicultural Museum in Radovljica. Another attraction is the Lectar Honeybread workshop museum, where you can see, how traditional decorated honeybread hearts are still made.

The heart and soul of Radovljica is Linhart Square (Linhartov trg) which inspires with the variety and authenticity of its preserved architecture. This international festival is the largest chocolate-related event and one of the biggest culinary events in Slovenia. The festival is renowned for its excellent entertainment programme, atmosphere, and the wide range of chocolate treats which are brought to Radovljica from all over Slovenia as well as further afield. Tasting coupons are a special feature of the festival and make the event even sweeter. The festival takes place every year in April. In 2019 the Radovljica Chocolate Festival will take place between 12th and 14th April.
