EXPERIENCE 🧡 🚵🏼
It’s not just about their experience of Slovenia, but also our experience with each new guest.
As much as they are not 100% sure who will be in charge of their holidays, we’re not 100% sure who we will host. But there’s a bit of beauty and excitement in this too! 😁 it is always interesting to look back at how we say “hello, welcome to Slovenia. Nice to finally meet you”🙋🏼‍♀️ and after 4-8 days of amazing exploration, fun and good food, we can barely separate and always laugh about it 🤗

This couple was like one of those guests, that it was really hard to say “goodbye” to. Mostly because they came to Slovenia to find & meet their relatives as they were half Slovenian 😍 how cool is that?
To do that and explore the country on a bike along the way, it’s just awesome! And we love to be a part of such experience. It makes us feel like we’re a part of the family too (all of a sudden 🤭😄).

📜 “We are still reveling in the memories from our time spent touring Slovenia on bikes with you and Jernej leading the way! We could not have been happier with our “Greenhills” experience. Finding the area that my ancestors emigrated from to be so beautiful and hospitable was another big plus. The frosting on the cake was visiting Bovec - and seeing how much like Red Lodge, Montana, it is - where all of my grandparents settled and raised their families. It became their home away from home. Thanks again for all you two did to maximize our experience. You’re the best!”

LIVE IN A MOMENT💛
This is a story of one of our guests, that deserves to be shared with others.

Dear Elizabeth (69) came to Slovenia with her husband (77) because his relatives were from Slovenia and he wished to learn more about them.🤓 However, the trip became almost impossible for Elizabeth just a couple months before their departure date.

She had a stroke but wasn't 100% sure about it.😱 Nevertheless, her gut told her not to move as every time she moved she felt like vomiting. And that was the one thing she knew she had to avoid at all costs!🤢

Therefore, she meditated through this sickness that went on for almost 48 hours.🧘‍♀️ When she finally got to her doctor, he was in awe, because if she had vomited she would have died.

She got a second chance at life, which she truly appreciated. I remember her words exactly when she told me “I’m grateful every day. I find something amazing in each day, because If I die today. It’s OK, I had an amazing last day.” 🍀

Instead of complaining, she truly lived in a moment. And I’m so grateful to experience that with her here in Slovenia. I felt and saw how her soul was touched by Slovenian food🍲 and nature around her.🌲🌼💦 Things we experience each day but many times take for granted. She was so grateful to be able to be here in Slovenia. A couple months ago that was only possible in her dreams.

She is still fighting with her brain🧠 and pushing it out of her comfort zone at a different level than we do it, which makes her a true inspiration. 🦋

Elizabeth, thank you for letting us show you our beautiful Slovenia💚 but mostly thank you for teaching us gratitude.💓
