Hello everyone - It's been a little while since we posted. So time for an update. 2023 was a fantastic year and we were super busy with many rentals and lots of visitors to our properties 🤩🥳

There are some changes for 2024. Unfortunately the beauty Soča Vila is now under new ownership and is no longer going to be a rental property, we wish the new owners all the best in their beautiful home 😍

Katrič Holiday house is available for 2024 and bookings are quickly filling up the main season.

BACK FOR 2024 - Valley View Apartment. A perfect chalet style 2 person apartment located along the Alpe Adria Trail perfect for stopovers or for anyone wanted some peace and quiet and stunning views. Prices start from €80 a night for 2.

Chef Ana Roš's restaurant Hiša Franko has become the first Slovenian establishment to be awarded three Michelin stars, the highest accolade conferred by the veritable restaurant guide. Milka in Kranjska Gora was promoted to two stars. Seven more restaurants won one star each.

LATEST INFO ‼ The rain is slowly easing off and, fortunately, the weather is expected to improve over the next few days. The Soča Valley was almost completely spared from flooding this time, with slightly less rain than elsewhere in Slovenia. Staying in the Soca Valley is safe.

🏞️🌈 JULIAN ALPS UPDATE:

Summer is returning to the Julian Alps! Following heavy rainfall in the past few days, the situation is gradually returning to normal. We can't wait for the sunny days and warm temperatures expected from Monday onwards.
To help you plan your visit, we'd like to address some frequently asked questions:

🌧️ IS IT SAFE TO VISIT THE JULIAN ALPS? ☀️
Yes! Fortunately, the aftermath of the storm is manageable, and we are actively working to get things back to "business as usual." For specific local information, feel free to contact your accommodation provider.

🚂 CAN I USE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TO REACH THE JULIAN ALPS? 🚌
Yes! There might still be some delays until Monday, but public transport will soon resume its regular schedule. For more information and useful links, please visit our website: Mobility in the Julian Alps.

📣 WHERE CAN I FIND MORE INFORMATION?
To check current traffic conditions, visit www.promet.si.
For the latest weather forecast, go to https://vreme.arso.gov.si/.
Each destination's website will have local conditions information.

🏔️ CAN I GO HIKING IN THE MOUNTAINS?
Once the weather stabilizes, hiking in the mountains will be possible. As always, remember to bring proper equipment, choose a suitable goal for your fitness level, and check for favorable weather conditions.

🚧 IS THERE ANY DAMAGE DUE TO HEAVY RAINS?
Compared to other parts of Slovenia, the storm's impact on the Julian Alps is minimal, for which we are grateful. However, some local roads and trails are currently closed for storm recovery and cleanup of torrential deposits. We are working hard to reopen them at the beginning of the week.

Please note that rescue teams have reported tourists ignoring roadblocks and safety instructions. Until everything is safe and secure, we urge you to respect the closures and follow safety guidelines throughout the Julian Alps.
